An easy and delicious sauce with a Thai flair

If you love the taste of Thai food, then my easy sweet chili sauce is sure to please. It’s a much simpler version of my original sweet chili sauce that I serve with mandarin chicken, but this one has fewer ingredients and steps. It can literally be ready to serve in just minutes.
Belle’s Easy Sweet Chili Sauce
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
1/2 tablespoon corn starch
In a small saucepan, whisk together the rice vinegar, sugar, water, and chili garlic sauce. Heat and stir until the sugar fully dissolves. Stir cornstarch into 1 tablespoon of water until dissolved, then pour it into the sauce. Continue stirring and heating until the mixture comes up to a simmer. The sauce will thicken. Use the sauce immediately, or refrigerate and use within one week.
